For Carrie

Here you go, Carrie. They sure look tiny in the pictures but they look pretty in the yard. I've decided it's expensive to plant too many annuals. But it looks better if you plant a lot. Anyway, I'm grateful for flowers, plants, trees, grass. I love being in my backyard in the summer. Now I need a nice comfortable place to sit back there.

THANK YOU! Beautiful job! Now the fun part, keeping them watered thru the hot summer.. Make that your boys job, they will love it. Maybe they can each have their own watering can or something. If they complain, just say "at least you don't have the same job as Carson. He has to take dirty diapers to the garbage can!"

My boys do have to take dirty diapers to the garbage can. It's good for them. We havn't done anything to our front yard yet. It doesn't look very good right now.

I only go perennials. Annuals are a waste of time and money. I go every Monday and Tuesday to Lowes and buy the discounted 2-3 dollar plants. They look ugly but come back pretty the next year.

But Shandy, annuals provide brilliant color during the heat of summer. If you like that sort of thing. :)
