My New Skill

A couple of weeks ago our ward had a Relief Society activity where we learned how to knit using knitting looms. There weren't very many people there so it was easy to learn with more one on one help. And it is actually very easy. I went home and finished the baby hat I started. Then Porters Craft Store had a big sale a few days later and I bought my own looms and a pattern for some other things besides hats. I made this Christmas stocking.

Oh thanks a lot, Sam saw this picture and said "Carrie, YOU should make US Christmas stockings!!!"
That is actually very fun! Are you going to make enough for your whole family? You are crafty!!

That's really cool....bring it to Thanksgiving so I can see if I want to do that too.

Yes, I am going to make us all matching stockings because right now we use mismatched ones we got from our wedding showers. And, MaryAnn, I will bring it to Thanksgiving.

Maybe Susan could give lessons, Carrie! This sock is adorable!

I love it, too. It looks so soft, and I don't think it would take as long as the cross stiched ones. I'm still not done with Luke's and he's 3 years old.

You can also make purses, and they make long ones too so you can do blankets this way. That's how I finally finished Lilly's baby blanket- - after a year! You'll love it!
