A Sunday Treat

When Tracie was helping me decide what to call my blog she suggested "A Sunday Treat" because I usually make a treat on Sunday. When I was growing up it was a tradition at our house to make a dessert on Sundays. So we still do that at our house. It's usually just some type of cookie or brownies. We don't get too fancy. My favorite is oatmeal chocolate chip cookies but I don't make those very often because the rest of my family doesn't like them as well and I end up eating most of them. Today we made ginger snaps. They are Darren and Kevin's favorite kind of cookie. Ethan is my main helper. Kevin has grown out of it. And Jake is an aspiring helper. (He doesn't last very long up on the counter.)

Oh, and the cookies taste great! I'm glad you don't make the chocolate chip oatmeal very often too. They are also my favorite!

I noticed one cookie was missing! Now I know where it went! (Tracie!) I, too, prefer the chocolate-chip oatmeal! (I just prefer chocolate anything!)

OK, so for the family reunion, I will expect some Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies. I will see if they are as good as everyone says.

I love how chubby Jake is, that is how a baby should look.

If you like Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies you should try "Monster" cookies. If you don't have the recipe you can get it from Carrie...Oatmeal, peanut butter, M&M's, Reese's Peices, chocolate chips....Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, yummy.

That is too cute. Quinn loves sitting up on the counter and helping. He will put everything in but the eggs...slimy. You're boys are soooo cute.

Ethan looks so grown up. He's not a baby anymore. He's a little boy. Chocolate chip cookies all the way. I love them!

Susan, did you notice in Tracie's second post she put, "im glad you DON'T make the chocolate chip oatmeal very often too. They are also my favorite." hmm.. maybe im just dumb and am reading it wrong. i thought she would be sad you dont make them more often, but maybe she doesn't want them around cause she would just eat them.. i understand.. what do you think? wow. that was a long post... oh i was going to just write, i've never had ginger snaps. im sure they're amazing.

Your boys are so adorable. I wish I was closer to hug all over them. I suppose they wouldn't like their unfamiliar Auntie Kim hugging all over them. Darn! I suppose I'll try anyway!
